Huggies®Brand - Inside the Diaper Video + Coupon Sweepstakes

We're proud to announce a new contest from the M80 Parents Blog! This one features a new video from Huggies® and coupons for free diapers and wipes.

I'd say that this video presents an interesting new take on leakage protection. It's based on Huggies recent “Geyser” TV commercial (which features a male infant with a special “talent” for making a lot of pee ;-)

Here's the video:

Here's the contest:

Tell us a funny story (which may have happened to you, a friend, or a family member) about a time when a child's pee got a little out of control...or when you were in desperate need of a diaper that excelled in leakage protection!

The story doesn't need to be long, just funny or interesting. Even one or two sentences will do. Just leave it in a comment, with your contact info.

If you want to earn 25 extra entries into the contest, write your story up in a blog post, embed the video, and send us the link!

If you'd like to run your OWN contest on your OWN blog with the same prizing, let us know in the comments or email ethan /at/ m80im.com.

We'll pick two winners on or about September 24, 2008.

PRIZING:
There are two Grand prizes, each of which feature two kinds of coupons:
Coupon 1: Any one [1] Jumbo Pack of Huggies Diapers...FOR FREE
Coupon 2: Any one [1] Huggies wipes (64ct or larger), Bath & Body Product, Cleanteam Product, or Changing Pad...FOR FREE

The winners will be awarded FIVE coupons: three Huggies diaper coupons and two Huggies wipes coupons.

RULES:
This contest is only open to contestants in the 50 United States of America (coupons are only valid in U.S.A.)

Click here read the rest of the contest rules before entering.

We are due in January with our first, so we dont have our own stories yet (although, I'm sure they're coming!). But while visiting family over thanksgiving a couple years ago, our niece Sarah was about 1.5 and still in diapers... well, she didn't have a pee incident, but somehow, the diaper was not able to absorb/keep in her poo, and she left a little 'dollop' right in-front of the fridge. Not being around kids THAT often, I didnt know what it was, and thought something had spilled from the dinner we were making or from the fridge. Yep, I proceeding to stick my finger in it and then sniff. I figured out verrrry quickly what it was and the whole family had a great laugh. Oh, how I hope our diapers will hold up (or in) better!

That's a crazy story! A lesson well-received from an expecting mother ;-)

And congratulations!

Ok, so I'm going to tell my story on my blog also.

I had my first child a year ago and was really new at the whole nine yards. How do you know which diapers to use, how do you know when to change diapers. We didn't like the hospital brand so we changed to Huggies natural supreme. They work really well. One thing we learned, and I think many parents learn this way is when to change sizes. We always knew it was time to change sizes when my daughter had what I like to call a power poo. If the Huggies Supreme couldn't hold in the power poo nothing could. So we would know to change the size.

I'm also a little confused about who I need to enter with.

well the one that stands out is when one of my boys decided he didn't like diapers and decided to pee like a dog everywhere during a girlscout- daisy meetsing,..making the girls ask me if we had a puppy becuase they stepped in warm pee..my hubs was watching haha my son but he had escaped and ripped off the diaper and went all over- we learned not to use cheap itchy diapers then and have gone thru alot since but the fact is my son had his first streaking moment at under 2 and left a huge impression on alot of girls. We have learned since cheaper just means more diapers and they are uncomfortable to the children so we buy quality huggies for all now...and yep power poo is an amazing lesson!

I became a first time mom last year in November. We had twin girls and during those first few months, diapers got REALLY expensive. We were going through about 15-20 per day. Around 2-3 months they stopped pooping as much, so I decided to see how long the diaper would last (i.e. how much pee it could hold). I wanted to try and use as few as possible per day. I'd always change a poopy bum right away, but if it was just pee I'd wait it out as long as possible. I was using alot of butt paste, so no rashes developed and babies rarely cried. There were a few days that I only used 6 diapers! Total! I bragged to my husband about it, but he thought I should change the peepee bums more often. I agreed and we found other ways to save money. Now I look back and laugh, my poor little babies have such a cheapo mom. Now I use about 10 per day.

with twins, any help was appreciated. my stepson was holding one when he spit up on him. so he changed and then decided to change the baby's diaper. while changing the baby he came out and had a wet streak on his shirt. he informed me that not had he spit up on him, he just pee'd on him. he had to change his shirt again.

When my daughter was a month old, I took her for her 1 month baby wellness checkup. They had me take off her clothes and diapers to weigh her, and she chose that moment to pee! And this wasn't just a little tinkle...this was a flood. Even the nurse made a comment on how she's never seen so much baby pee. This is my first, so I have no idea if it really was a lot of pee, but I just know that when a nurse at the pediatrician's office says that it's a lot...well...it must be a lot.

When my son was just a few months old, my mom and I took him to the mall for some shopping. We went to change his diaper in the Macy's restroom. My mom (having only the experience of changing her 3 daughters' diapers) was a little surprised when she took off his diaper and he proceeded to pee all over... all over the mat, the floor, and my mom. Such was her surprise that she jumped and yelped; my baby boy laughed at this site! It was quite a site to see.

My mom wasn't mad, and she got better at changing his diaper... but it would have been great if she had held a diaper in front of him and not just jumped back!

my husband had just left the house when my son had a messy poop incident (sorry, can't think of any pee incidents). as i was changing his diaper, he decided he wasn't done pooping and continued to do so - all over me, down my bra, in my face. it was a complete mess. i had to clean him up and then take a shower.

My oldest was potty training and wore panties during the day and diapers at night. For some reason I had her in a fancy dress which means we were probably going somewhere. I don't remember where we are going but I sure remember what happened at the store we had to stop at (Walmart).

As we were shopping my daughter, who could never sit still, ran off and climbed on an empty shelf. I immediately ran after her and tried to get her off the shelf. She would not come and in horror I realized what she was doing. She "went" all over the shelf of the store.

I was pretty young at the time and was so mortified that I immediately grabbed her and left. In retrospect I should have notified someone but I was just too embarrassed. If that happened today I would have flagged someone and offered to help clean it up.

Dang it! I missed the contest and we SO could have used the winnings - 3 kids in diapers currently and living on med student loans.
I'd love to run this contest on my blog. If you could let me know how to do it, I'd be very grateful!

When my oldest son was about 10 months old we had a horrible diaper incident! I woke up on morning to an extremely quiet house. I went to check on my son in his crib and much to my horror his had managed to take his poopy diaper off on had used his poop like paint. ()-: It was all over the wall, crib, and himself. He was so content doing his "art" that he was completely quiet. It took a very strong stomach and tons of cleaner to save him and his room!

Our son was about a week old, and Hubby was changing him in the living room on a chair, instead of on the changing table.
Woosh! Little did we know that babies can projectile-poop! Hubby was covered in it, as was my carpet, my rug, and my chair.
Baby's been changed on the changing table ever since.

The geyser commercial is especially funny because it's so true-to-life! How is it that boys always know (or are inspired) right when the diaper comes off?

Our little guy actually managed to take out the baby monitor on the dresser nearby - it didn't work for a few hours while it dried out, but luckily for us, it seemed to recover eventually. Hopefully it doesn't transmit our household to the neighbors' cordless phones or any other strange after-effects.

Thanks for the fun giveaway! beezerly (at) yahoo (dot) com

when my husband was getting his hands dirty changing diapers for the first time our little girl was extremely hard on him. He removed her wet diaper and she gave him a huge smile. He was so touched by her smile that he forgot to get the new diaper on before disaster struck. While smiling, she raised her legs up and started to pee. It ran up her tummy and around her neck even a little in her mouth (bleh). She then was not happy so he panicked and hurried to clean her off (still no diaper on). As he was cleaning her body and face she raised those feet up and let loose a projectile bowel movement that got all over the changing table the wall and the bottles of soap, lotion, and ointments nearby! I'm lucky he will even try after that incedent
